In our lab, we are interested in studying a range of structural dynamic problems, from vibrations of structures, wave propagation, metamaterials, system identification approaches as well as the study of fluid-structure interaction problems. We are also interested in promoting engineering education in younger students.

The Structural Vibrations Lab is directed by Dr. Maria Chierichetti, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Maria received her Ph.D. from the Aerospace Engineering School at Georgia Institute of Technology in the summer 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Massimo Ruzzene. While at Georgia Tech, Maria was awarded the Amelia Earhart Fellowship from Zonta Internation for two consecutive years.
